Situation Room: SpaceGov Simulation

The Governance of Change Club (GCC), in collaboration with the Center for the Governance of Change (CGC), invites IE students to step beyond Earth and into the world of space governance. 🌌

In this interactive SpaceGov Simulation, participants will take on the roles of international actors, policymakers, and private stakeholders navigating the challenges of regulating outer space. From managing asteroid mining rights to ensuring ethical satellite use, students will debate, negotiate, and craft solutions to the dilemmas shaping humanity’s future beyond our planet.

This session offers a hands-on exploration of how law, technology, and diplomacy intersect in the rapidly evolving space domain — a chance to think critically, collaborate creatively, and have fun while tackling global governance at the interstellar level.

Change in Technology: The future of money

The Governance of Change Club (GCC) and the Technology and Innovation Club, in collaboration with the Center for the Governance of Change (CGC), hosted the launch of the Change in Technology series with its first episode: “The Future of Money.”

The event featured a panel of experts — including Manoel Gadi, Lucas Mateu, Jairo Romo, Adolfo Monsalve, and Sofia Gonçalves — who explored how emerging technologies are reshaping the global financial system, from fintech and digital currencies to ethical and regulatory challenges.

Following the panel, Alber Sabanoglu and Ela Alpagut led an interactive workshop, where students engaged in hands-on discussions about innovation in finance and the evolving role of digital governance.

The launch event attracted a full audience of Segovia students eager to explore how technology is redefining money, governance, and the very architecture of our economic systems — setting the tone for a forward-looking semester of cross-disciplinary learning and collaboration.
